When asked about relationships and in particular her seven year relationship with Brian McFadden, which ended in April 2011, Goodrem admits, “There is so much I’d like to say. I was really unhappy and I didn’t know how to get out. I learnt. I got there in the end”; And of her short affair with the youngest Jonas brother, Nick? Goodrem admits a case of rebounding from one extreme to another. “But I only have good things to say about Nick” she adds.

We DID Find Out-Part 2 Thursday 5/17 aka the BEST DAY EVER

Okay, moving onto Thursday, which equates to the most incredible day in the city, ever.

Well, like usual we were running late, couldn’t find parking. The day started as if it was going to be one bad thing after another. We had originally planned to be in the city by 8, it ended up being closer to 9 AM. So, once in the city, we took the subway down to Central Park, where the World Wide Wickets would be playing the Once/Salesman team, however not until 11:30.

Now, I must remind you that this was the day that we had planned to not care about finding Nick, because we already felt crazy as it is. So, we arrived at Central Park a little after nine and there were probably about ten people at the field already.

Met some girls that were super nice and basically staked out our spots, in the sun! (Which would proceed to bite me in the ass later.) Nick showed up with Mike around 11 and began practicing.

Game started at 11:30, Kacie and I had spots directly next to third base, so we’d be able to cheer Nick on, only being like ten or so feet away. Ended up meeting more girls, that we planned to meet up with later on in the day. The game was good, by the time it started there were probably 100-150 more people then there were when we showed up.  But Nick was fabulous!

Let’s get real, any Jonas in uniform is wonderful.

And Nick is NO exception!

Wonderful moment happened during the game tho.

Basically someone had hit a pop fly and Nick had moved to catch it, but I guess it missed his glove and lingered above his head. It ended up smacking his hand/finger and he walked around with an “injury”.

Picture above is Nick examining his finger which was “injured.”

A bunch of us on the fence were like, “Shake it off, Nick, you’ll be okay!” Ha, he walks over to us and says, “I jammed my finger really bad.”

Internally I’m just like, “I’M A NURSING STUDENT. LET ME FIX IT FOR YOU WAH!” However, because I’m a normal human being, I did not say a word.

Game was over close to 1 PM, and we did our best to get out of the park, just because girls were bombarding him left and right. Mike obviously had to lay down the law and he didn’t take pictures with people. We did our best to get away from the crowds of girls and set our own path in getting out of the park. However, I turn around to see that Nick Jonas, Mike, and Mike Park are following us out of the park.

Yeah.

The SUV had to be close by, but I tried my best not to turn around and stare at him. So, he basically followed us out until we reached the street, we hung a left and headed towards Sprinkles Cupcakes while he attempted to get into his SUV to leave. We made it to the Upper East Side, still reeling from the game and everything that had happened and how we’d done our best to redeem ourselves and not look crazy.

So, we get our cupcakes and try to take the train back to down to Chelsea, because they had a store down there that I was supposed to hit up for my boyfriend. Well, the train situation sucked, we got lost. Then we got lost again and had to backtrack for a half hour. We’re both exhausted, I’m super sunburned and Kacie’s phone died while we were en route to Chelsea (finally), so we decided we were going to try to find Nick’s coffee shop that was on his ‘My NY’ list and we’d just go there for awhile to charge our phones.

We’d been using Kacie’s iPhone to get around the city, primarily as our navigation tool and now that it was dead, we were pretty much screwed.

So yeah, we get lost again trying to find the damn coffee shop.

Finally, we’re on the right street, but I see this restaurant that had also been on Nick’s list too and they had open seating to where they had moved the glass so people could essentially walk into the restaurant from the street. I saw, as we began to pass, an outlet which was directly next to a table with no people sitting at it, so I thought, “Oh perfect!” I said something to Kacie, pointing it out and originally made a move to just enter the restaurant via the street, but instead decided to actually use the entrance.

APPARENTLY Kacie had caught plaid out of the corner of her eye.

I’m already in the restaurant talking to the hostess and getting seated. Kacie ends up sitting on the same side as me. I basically have not noticed my surroundings at all and am just sitting there, trying to decide what I’m gunna eat for lunch and am SO THANKFUL to finally be out of the sun and heat.

So, we plug our phones in, I notice that she’s acting weird and she finally says to me, “Do you really not realize what’s going on right now?”

Me: No.

She does the head nod thing, telling me to look up.

When I do, I’m pretty sure that I stopped breathing.

Nick Jonas was sitting three feet from me.

Kacie was like, “Whatever you do, don’t stare at him.”

Yeah, NOW I WAS SURE WE LOOKED INSANE.

Because had I seen him, I would have never gone into this restaurant, I would’ve just kept walking.

Another thing to note, Nick had no security with him, he was with Mike Park and some other guy that I didn’t recognize.

Cool, no big deal right.

No, BIG DEAL. BIG DEAL.

I was shaking, Kacie was shaking. I’m pretty sure that neither of us could even read the menu, so I just randomly ordered whatever came to mind, though I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to be able to taste my food.

He and I met eyes a few times as he was sitting there and I was pretty sure that I’ve never been so mortified in my entire life. Because really I was, I officially looked crazy.

In the course of the 20 minutes that we sat in the same restaurant as him, some guy who was apparently his neighbor came up to him with an interviewer and expressed that they wanted to do a story on him and another random guy just came up and took a picture, in his face, and left.

I watched as he figured out the tip on his phone. (GAH SO CUTE.) And our waitress knew we were trying to be polite and chose not to approach us about the situation until after he left.

Oh yeah, here’s the table.

He was in the far chair against the wall, on the left.

Once Nick had left, our waitress came up to us, asking if we’d gotten a picture with him. We then went onto explain that he was the whole reason that we were there and then told about our previous experiences of the past day or so. She said that he was the restaurant’s most regular customer and that he comes in 3-4 times a week.

Which makes sense because the restaurant is within walking distance of his building.

After we ate our food, which we couldn’t taste, with newly charged phones, we were able to navigate our way to Nick’s coffee shop, because I knew I was going to need a pick me up since we planned to wait outside the theatre for him.

Also, I think it’s ironic that the whole time we were saying, “wouldn’t it be crazy if we ran into him at the coffee shop or something?” Because we didn’t know that any of these places on this list would be places that he actually goes to. Honestly, we thought that places just paid him to endorse these various spots. And then he’s actually at one.

Okay, New York City is a huge place, how the hell does this happen? And who eats lunch at 3:45 P.M. anyway?

So, we go to the coffee shop, I got a quad latte, upon Nick’s recommendation. (Thank God he wasn’t at the coffee shop too, because I was sure I would’ve died in shame.)

Nick Jonas likes his coffee strong apparently.

We also stopped at a Starbucks to pee, since we knew we probably wouldn’t get another chance to use the bathroom.

Took the subway back down to the theatre district, met up with Emily and Claudia and got to tell everything that happened.

And then Nick showed up at the theatre.

We purposely made a point to stand back and out of sight, one because we didn’t necessarily want him to see us and two, we knew as soon as he went in, girls were going to move out and away from the barricades because most of them had tickets to the show. And once they did, we’d just strategically place ourselves against that barricade.

He came and went, girls moved, we got our spots and then we proceeded to wait.

And wait.

And wait some more.

Hung out with people and talked a lot, talking definitely makes the time pass a lot faster. Mike came out around 10:30 to brief us on what to do and what not to do.

Let me just say the barricades were mass chaos.

We literally had no room to move, so when girls started shoving as Nick came out of the stage door, I had no where to go, sadly, my sunglasses are now very scratched.

Amusing fact was, as he came out of the stage door, he looked to his left, which was the side we were on and kind of smirked at us, before signing and taking pictures with people on the other side.

Now they warned girls that not everyone would get a picture and if you did, you only got one shot at it. We were smart, planned ahead, and checked the flash on all the settings of my camera and had it all ready to go.

He basically does either an autograph or a picture and makes sure to get to every girl that’s against the barricade, however we noticed that girls were getting skipped. And once he was on our side, he signed one autograph, before just standing there, waiting for me to hand Neil my camera.

Kacie had to nudge me, because I was pretty lost in the moment.

But I got my picture! :)

I’m pretty sure he was going to give me my picture no matter what, because I’m sure he was sick of seeing me seven times in the past two days.

Oh well. :) I’m pretty sure we redeemed ourselves by not acting totally crazy all day and restaurant situation was a complete accident.

Once all was said and done, we walked back towards Penn Station with full intent of driving home that night, which we did because we were so high on adrenaline.

Overall, this was the best trip of my life and that Thursday was the BEST day of my life.

However, if you took Nick Jonas out of the equation, the trip would’ve sucked.

We waited over 20 hours for him, slept two hours or less a night, just so we could spend a total of 5 hours with him.

Worth it? I’d say so.

Welp.

I was supposed to blog yesterday about last Thursday, which I promise I will, just let me get some stuff in order and then I’ll sit down and we’ll get to this!
